I love American AAdvantage Miles – even after the recent devaluation.
For those of us in the UK who are so conditioned by British Airways and Virgin Atlantic into believing that hefty ‘surcharges’ are a natural part of award tickets, AAdvantage Miles make a refreshing change.
There are no bogus fees to pay when you redeem them for flights on AA or any of their partners (apart from BA, and to a lesser extent Iberia).
American Airlines are currently marking 35 years of their AAdvantage loyalty programme, and as part of the celebrations you can pick up 700 free Miles by entering this sweepstake for 350,000 Miles – 350 Miles for entering and another 350 for sharing on Facebook, Twitter or by Email.
The rules for winning the 350,000 Miles state that you have to reside in the USA (so in the very unlikely event you win, that would be annoying!) – but I’m confident the 700 Miles for entering will post fine regardless.

Any idea how long the 700 points take to post? Has anyone with a UK address entered, done the social sharing and had 700 points post to their account?
Tom Sumner says
The 700 miles “will be allocated to entrant’s AAdvantage® account approximately eight (8) weeks after the end of Promotion Period” (i.e. 8 weeks after 1 June).
