It’s no secret that we’re pretty big fans of Accor hotels here at InsideFlyerUK.

Their mid-scale brands like Mercure, Novotel and Ibis may not be the most exciting in the world, but they serve their purpose – and for the most part they do so very well. The more upmarket Sofitel, Pullman and MGallery brands offer some genuinely fantastic hotels.

I’ve written about Accor’s ‘Private Sales’ before, and I’m pleased to report that the latest one is now live. You have to use this special booking page when searching in order for the sales rates to come up.

The precise details in terms of discount and what dates you can book vary depending on the country/region you are interested in, but the vast majority offer 40% off this time, and the dates covered are mostly May-September. You have until 28th April to book.

Hotels in Switzerland are offering a generous “two nights for the price of one” offer, while the UK is stuck with a more miserly 25% off this time.

Accor tends to run these big global sales a few times each year, and they are usually the best time to book if you want the lowest rates and are happy to commit so far in advance.

The discount percentage is derived from the best flexible rate, but Private Sale rates are non-refundable so the real discount is less than advertised, but still usually substantial.

For example, the lowest standard non-refundable rate at the Pullman Berlin Schweizerhof on 28th August is £71.92 for members of Accor’s ‘Le Club’ Loyalty Programme (£79.91 for non-members), but just £56.40 if booked through the Private Sale page. That’s a genuine ~ 22% discount. That sort of real percentage is fairly typical.

I’ve also mentioned before that TopCashback has some very attractive offers for Accor stays, and for the next 5 days the cashback rate is at at the highest level it ever goes up to:

  • 15% for Sofitel, Pullman, and MGallery
  • 12% for Novotel, Mercure and Adagio
  • 7.5% for Ibis and Ibis Styles
  • 3% for Formule 1 and Ibis Budget

Combining the generous cashback with a cheap sale rate could be a great way to snag a bargain for the summer holidays!

I noted that the UK offer isn’t so good this time around, but remember that if you’re looking for a weekend stay,  Accor’s Happy Mondays deal is one of the very best regular offers around and well worth considering instead.

Finally, don’t forget to check if your elite status with Accor has been extended until the end of 2017!
