When it comes to Business Class flying from the UK, there is one place I always go to check prices before I book anywhere else, and that’s Finnair.
While not the jaw-dropping, sub-£800 flights sometimes offered by Qatar et al (if you’re willing to divert to Oslo etc), Finnair consistently offers excellent value Business Class flying from the UK.
By way of example, even outside of any dedicated sale, Bangkok is consistently priced at around the £1400 mark.
Add to that the genuine quality of the Finnair Business Class product, and you really do need to search hard (or find a mega-sale) to beat Finnair Business Class prices.
Crucially, of course, these are ex-UK departures. While I personally love the value that can be found by routing your long-haul premium cabins from outside of the UK, there is both a cost and a substantial hassle factor to this. Therefore, if your starting point is the UK, you obviously cannot say (in real terms at least) that an £800 ex-Amsterdam Business Class flight is “£500 less” than a £1300 ex-UK one.
When you factor in the regular sales Finnair offers, usually to India and the Far East, bargains are not hard to find. The good news is, it is currently running one such sale – with prices for long-haul Business Class to the Far East currently as low as £1209 return.
It depends on the precise fare, but broadly speaking you need to book by 15 March, and they are available for travel until the end of August 2016.
