You may well have heard of Bicester Village. It’s basically a massive designer shopping outlet offering huge discounts on a variety of designer brands.

As my wife (and credit card) will certainly tell you, there are plenty of big-brand bargains to be had there, and the good news for Hilton HHonors members is you can make the bargains even sweeter. Until 30 April 2016, you will earn bonus Hilton points: specifically 4 Hilton HHonors points per £1 spent at Bicester Village, rather than the usual 1 point per £1.

To take advantage of this bonus Hilton points promotion, simply follow the Bicester Village instructions, as follows:

To claim this offer, simple present your receipts together with your Hilton HHonors membership card or proof of membership at the Tourist Information or Welcome Centre on the day of your visit and your Quadruple HHonors Points will automatically be applied.

Note that you have to make the claim for the bonus Hilton points on the day of purchase. Per the terms and conditions of the promo, any retrospective claims for points will be honoured, but only at the standard rate of 1 Hilton point for every £1 spent.

If you would prefer, you can alternatively earn 5 Avios for every £4 you spend at Bicester Village, but this is just the standard rate, not a promo offer like the Hilton one. Given that I value Hilton HHonors points at a very approximate 0.4p, and Avios at an equally approximate 0.8p, I would submit that the Hilton option (4 per £1, rather than 1.25) is better value – but notably only during this Hilton bonus points promo. 

For completeness, you can also earn miles/points with a range of other travel partners, including Virgin Flying Club at a rate of 1 mile per £1 spent.
