The impressive Turkish Airlines is currently offering some stand-out Business Class prices to Asia on their flights out of Amsterdam.
As things stand, there are no particular booking restrictions, save that you need to book 60 days in advance to benefit from the lowest available prices and in some cases need to stay a minimum of 7 days.
The stand out prices are as follows:
- Hong Kong at €1421 (£1080)
- Bangkok at €1631 (£1236)
- Beijing at €1648 (£1249)
- Guangzhou at €1648 (£1249)
- Shanghai at €1658 (£1256)
- Tokyo from €1690 (£1281)
- Osaka from €1690 (£1281)
- Seoul from €1727 (£1309)
- Jakarta from €1773 (£1344)
The booking availability is currently excellent. Here’s an example booking for the bargain HK flight:
Turkish Airlines Business Class
The Turkish Airlines Business Class experience is not quite up there with the giants of Qatar, Emirates and Etihad, but it remains one of the market-leaders.
Turkish Airlines is one of the few airlines in Europe to offer tailored Business Class seats on short-haul flights, so you are likely to get a premium seat even on the short-haul leg between Amsterdam and Istanbul. In addition, some flights from Amsterdam to Istanbul are operated by long-haul aircraft.
You will of course get lounge access in Istanbul – here’s our review of the truly fantastic Business Class lounge there.
Just how good is the value here?
Although these prices are not quite up there with some of the Qatar Airways Business Class sales we have seen recently, Hong Kong for little over £1000 is more than fair, while prices to Japan are low when compared with those competitors’ prices.
And getting to Amsterdam?
You obviously have a plethora of options from the UK, and clearly at these prices you have some money to play with, when you compare what you would pay for an ex-UK Business Class flight to HK. However, easyJet is the obvious choice (and don’t forget to earn Nectar points, too) but you can also find some very low cost BA flights between Gatwick and AMS.
