Starwood hotels promo: double SPG Starpoints + a further 250 bonus

Starwood hotels’ loyalty programme, Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG), has just launched a new bonus points promotion called “Take Two” offering double points on stays.

You need to register before 10 April, 2016 and stay between 11 January and 30 April, 2016.

You will earn double Starpoints on stays of two or more nights (which is the slight catch) at any Starwood hotel worldwide. As a small added bonus, you will also earn an additional 250 Starpoints for every night (including of one night only) at hotels and resorts in certain “popular destinations”, including New York, Rio, Hong Kong and Dubai.

As ever, our advice is to sign up for this promotion immediately, even if you haven’t planned a Starwood hotel stay. You have nothing to lose, and you never know if it might apply to you in the future. It’s very easy to forget about these promos down the line, and I have lost count of the number of times I have benefitted from a hotel points promo that I’d forgotten I had signed up for.
