Icelandic budget airline WOW has long touted for business with a periodic £99 (or even $99) fare between the UK and North America. To celebrate the launching of a route from Bristol, the £99 fare is now back.

From May 2016, you will be able to fly from Bristol (via Iceland) to Montreal, Toronto, Boston and Washington, and you can get there for a very competitive £99.

Return flights don’t quite hit the £99 mark, but there are a number available for as little as £146.

Despite their rather lovely if vague “promises”, WOW Air is definitely a budget airline, and the fact that you are flying transatlantic should not fool you into thinking otherwise. You will for example have to pay £78 extra to check in 20kg of baggage.
