A standard Terraces Lounge at Manchester comes in the form of a BA operated reasonably sized lounge at Terminal 3 at Manchester Airport, which is shared with American and US Airways.

Located to the left of the main gate area, and a short lift ride to the 2nd floor, above the duty free shops.

The usual Terraces layout is used with a self service bar, soft drinks, sandwiches and snacks.

There are floor to ceiling windows giving good views of the runway.

In addition to the sandwiches shown above, there was a selection of cheeses also.

There are integral toilets within the lounge. However, there were relatively few electrical outlets, but as it was a quiet Saturday afternoon I managed to get one near the windows where I could watch the take offs and landings. The WiFi was awfully slow, which I also had found at Terminal 5. I don’t know what BA has done but it was dismal.

The plane took off from a gate close to the lounge, just a five minute walk. As it was a domestic flight you have to undergo a face recognition system to match the passenger who checked in with the passenger at the gate. Manchester has installed gates to do this automatically which worked pretty well. There was a separate Fast Track line for BA Golds, Silvers, Bronzes which expedited boarding.

All round a pretty standard BA experience.
