Haha, true. I can't remember the last time I won something decent actually... maybe the old SPG baseball(?) promos.
I discovered a nice workaround regarding sharing on the android app. Clicking the share icon brings up the usual social media platforms and they get you 25 points for each share. What if you don't want to spam your friends/followers, there are other options, that still post points and do virtually nothing. On mine I can "share" to Google Keep, Drive, ES File Explorer, etc. and some of those pop up an error, but still give me the points.
Doesn't sharing as a text message trigger it? Certainly used to. You didn't actually have to send the message to anyone, just discard it!
I would imagine so, just launching the sharing application seems to trigger the points, even if you don't ultimately do anything.
Many thanks for this information. I truly appreciate it. Interestingly, I am conducting an academic survey to understand passenger's perception of airline carrier's mobile apps. I hope our fellow members can participate in the survey.
I use the virgin red app have won a few things, PS4 game, bottle of wine, they always have the 40,000 virgin flying club miles miles prize each month plus a £3000 holiday voucher every few months as a prize.
I used the app about a year ago but gave up as found it far too labour intensive (and the most I won was a free coffee). What do other users make of it now - do you think it's worthwhile giving it another go, have the rewards changed much??
