Etihad Guest, the loyalty programme of Etihad Airways, has partnered with Revolut. This collaboration allows Revolut users to convert RevPoints earned from everyday spending directly into Etihad Guest Miles at a 1:1 exchange rate, with no minimum transfer threshold.

Key Features of the Partnership:

• Instant Conversion: Users can convert RevPoints in real time via the Revolut app, making it easier than ever to accumulate miles without waiting.
• Earning Rates: The rate of RevPoints earned varies by subscription tier:
  • Ultra: Approx. 1 RevPoint per £1 or €1 spent
  • Metal: Approx. 1 RevPoint per £2 or €2 spent
  • Standard/Plus: Lower rates, e.g., 1 RevPoint per £10 or €10 spent

Bottom line

It is always good to have more options and flexibility to redeem points and miles. That said, whether you’d prefer to have Etihad miles rather than some of the other options (like British Airways Avios) is a reasonable question.

In theory, instant transfers mean you don’t have to choose in advance where to send your points – you can just wait until you see which airline programme has award space for the flights you want. However, accumulating enough miles for a worthwhile Etihad award flight through Revolut would require substantial spending. For most people, focusing on Avios remains the better option due to the numerous other earning opportunities available.
