Picciolo Etna Golf Resort & Spa reopened this year after extensive renovations and is now part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. This five-star hotel is located in Castiglione di Sicilia at the foot of Mount Etna and combines luxury with authentic Sicilian charm.

The historic property features 100 rooms, many with panoramic views of Mount Etna and the surrounding vineyards.

The resort also includes a clubhouse with a private terrace and two restaurants: “Il Palmento,” offering regional specialties such as pasta alla Norma, and “La Ghiandaia,” serving modern interpretations of Sicilian cuisine. Both restaurants offer DOC wines from the region, including Etna Rosso and Etna Bianco.

Highlights include an 18-hole par-72 golf course — the oldest in Sicily — as well as a spa with pools, sauna, steam bath, and treatments based on local ingredients such as citrus fruits.
