British Airways has added a dash of craft-beer flair to its lounges at Gatwick by installing BrewDog beer taps. Travellers passing through BA’s South Terminal lounges can now pour themselves a pint of BrewDog’s iconic Punk IPA straight from the tap, alongside the usual Champagne and barista coffee.

What’s on tap?
On the draught taps you can choose from Brewdog’s classic Punk IPA or the tropical session IPA, Wingman. In the fridges you’ll find the British Airways exclusive IPA Speedbird OG
The move isn’t without risk. BrewDog has courted controversy in recent years, and some wonder whether partnering with a “rebellious” craft brewer is wise for a legacy carrier.
That said, for many frequent flyers, airport lounges can become blandly predictable. Adding a quirky tap wall signals that British Airways is willing to experiment and also ties in with BA’s broader effort to refresh its catering.
Bottom line
BrewDog taps in BA’s Gatwick lounges are a small but notable upgrade. Expect a bit of buzz – and maybe the odd queue – around the beer wall. Whether you see it as a gimmick or a genuine perk, at least there’s something new to toast before you take off.
