Fiji Airways is set to become a full member of the oneworld® alliance on 1 April 2025.

Key Benefits for Customers

As a full member, Fiji Airways will offer:

  • Access to nearly 700 airport lounges globally, including the newly opened oneworld lounges in Amsterdam and Seoul.
  • Priority check-in and boarding for top-tier customers.
  • Opportunities for earning and redeeming miles.
  • Earning Tier Points for loyalty programme members.

Nat Pieper, CEO of oneworld, stated,

“The introduction of Fiji Airways marks an important strategic step for our alliance, connecting even more people and places than ever before.”

Operating from Nadi International Airport, Fiji Airways serves 25 destinations in 14 countries, including major oneworld hubs like Hong Kong and Sydney. The airline also recently added Dallas-Fort Worth to its network, further integrating into the oneworld family.

AAdvantage® Programme Adoption

Fiji Airways has adopted the American Airlines AAdvantage® travel rewards programme, allowing frequent flyers to enjoy oneworld benefits as AAdvantage® members. This integration promises enhanced rewards and seamless connectivity across the alliance.

Bottom line

Whether it’s wise for an airline to introduce a big change on 1st April is questionable… But, another option for oneworld flyers is certainly a good thing.
