If you are chasing elite status with British Airways Executive Club while the tier thresholds are still reduced, it is well worth remembering the ongoing ‘Double Tier Points’ promotion being run by BA Holidays. As far as I can recall, a version of this offer has been ongoing for well over a year now, so it’s easy to overlook.
Earn double Tier Points on your next holiday
“Holidays with BA have got twice as rewarding. Executive Club Members can now earn double the Tier Points on flights taken as part of a BA package holiday, between 24 August 2021 and 31 October 2022.
You need to need to book a holiday (flights + hotel or flights + car) of at least five nights before 22 October 2022.
The offer includes solo travellers and any holidays you’ve already booked with us. So, as well as enjoying that well-earned escape, you’ll top up your Tier Point balance handsomely – helping you rise through the Tiers to unlock additional Club benefits, such as priority check-in and lounge access each time you travel.”
Things to note
- Offer only applies to bookings originating in the UK.
- The hotel or car element of the booking must be booked for the duration of the trip.
- The terms state that “Bonus Tier Points will be awarded separately to standard Tier Points and within 60 days of your return flight”. However, BA seems to be having some serious issues actually getting these processed, so be prepared to fight for your bonus Tier Points…
- Remember to add your Executive club number to your booking prior to travel to claim your bonus points.
Bottom line
This is an attractive offer, particularly when you consider the reduced tier thresholds. However, BA’s admin problems in terms of actually processing the bonus points may give you pause for thought.
