Rail company ‘Northern’ is selling over one million £1 tickets this Autumn, online and through the Northern app.
The tickets are available for travel between Tuesday 6th September and Thursday 20th October, while stocks last.
Northern provides local and commuter services in the North of England, with services concentrated at train stations in Humberside, the North East, the North West and Yorkshire. Northern’s main routes run local services from the hubs of Manchester, Liverpool, York, Blackpool, and Leeds.
You can start booking these bargain tickets from today (30th August 2022). Journeys must be booked at least 7 days in advance of travel.
Mark Powles, customer and commercial director at Northern, said:
“This is our way of helping to extend the summer holiday feeling by a further six weeks – getting people through until the start of the October half term.
Tickets are on a first come, first serve basis – so those looking to take advantage of these great £1 fares should book early to avoid disappointment. When they’re gone, they’re gone.”

Bottom line
I’ve taken advantage of similar sales in the past and look forward to grabbing a few bargain tickets before they sell out.
