For the rest of this year, the UK-based hotel chain Village hotels are offering Sunday nights for two from a very reasonable £50. However, that £50 also gets you a £40 dining allowance to spend on food in the Pub & Grill, their in-house restaurant.

While you probably shouldn’t go to the “Pub & Grill” expecting Michelin-star levels of haute cuisine, £50 for a room for two including £40 in dining credit is a pretty good deal. And yes, Al Fresco dining is currently offered.

Note that availability at the starting rate is limited, so to get the very best rates, you’ll need to be quick and/or shop around a bit.

But, at best, that’s an effective £10 a night, not £7!

I can’t absolutely guarantee that will apply to the full £50, but the dining credit is unlikely to affect it – you have still “spent” £50. That means you should get around £3 cashback on the night, bringing your net “room cost” to £7.
