There is no shortage of hotel bargains at the moment, but it’s worth paying special attention to the superb rates Premier Inn is offering at the moment. In most parts of the the UK you can regularly find rooms for £29, and even in central London it’s not difficult to book rooms for about £40.
The best deals are generally widely available between the end of September and early December. Saturdays can be a little more expensive and Sundays a little cheaper than the average.

We have long sung the praises of Premier Inn – despite it not offering a loyalty programme – and the rates available right now are genuinely excellent. If you need a hotel in the UK between now and the end of the year, I know where I would start my search right now…
Any tips on good last-minute rates? Most Premier Inns double or treble the price if you book less than a week out.
Nothing that helps massively for that I’m afraid. There are occasional £10 off voucher codes and other discounts that sometimes apply and can take a bit off, but generally speaking, Premier Inn isn’t great for last minute.
