World of Hyatt is launching a new promotion – called Bonus Journeys – that will run from 15 June until 15 September, 2020.

The promotion is made up of two elements:

• Triple base points, starting from your SECOND stay
• Members with Hyatt elite status will earn 2,500 bonus points with their FIRST stay.

The Bottom Line

Hyatt hasn’t historically offered chain-wide promotions during the summertime. With the coronavirus limiting travel to much of the world, I had expected Hyatt to quietly wait for the autumn. Instead we are getting a triple points promotion.

Since members earn 5 base points per US dollar spent, and those points are worth roughly 1.6-1.8 US cents each –> this promotion means that members can earn a 24-27% rebate on their pre-tax spend, starting with their second stay. And elite members will receive a very handy 2,500 points (worth roughly £35) for that first stay. Not bad…
