The latest version of IHG Reward Club’s Accelerate has been so poorly received that IHG has launched another promotion that will stack on top. IHG members can earn up to quadruple points for eligible paid stays between now and 31 January, 2020. Stays must be booked before 15 December, 2019.

The promotion gets progressively better, the more you stay at IHG.

• Stay 1 – 1,000 bonus points
• Stay 2 – Double points (i.e. an extra 10 points per US dollar spent)
• Stay 3 – Triple points (i.e. an extra 20 points per US dollar spent)
• Stay 4 – Quadruple points (i.e. an extra 30 points per US dollar spent)

It is also worth highlighting that the Accelerate promotion was “secretly” improved recently. You will earn double your Accelerate bonus points if you complete all of your targets.

This new 4x promotion will also stack with the Intercontinental-specific promotion that we highlighted recently.

Conclusion

It must be absolute panic stations at IHG Rewards Club if they felt the need to launch a promotion that will stack on top of their existing promotions. The chance to earn 40 IHG points per US dollar spent should certainly attract some attention though!
