If you’re one of the many American Express cardholders currently mourning the recent changes to how sign up bonuses work, you might as well have a nice drink to sob into. The thoughtful people at Amex seem to agree, given that there’s now two different discount booze statement credit offers showing on my account.

Spend £20+ with ‘Beer 52’ and get £10 back:

Spend £40+ with ‘Craft Gin Club’ and get £20 back

The gin option actually seems to only offer a subscription (which conveniently costs £40 per month), so don’t forget to cancel that if you do take advantage. Beer 52 offers a subscription service as well, but also has an online shop where you can just order what you want.

As usual, the offers seem to be targeted to specific cards/customers, as I can only see them on my Amex Platinum at the moment.

• Spend must be billed to your Card account by 12/6/2019, to be eligible for this offer. If Beer52 does not charge your Card during this period, e.g. because of a delay in dispatching your goods, you may not be eligible for this offer.
