The Hilton Winter sale ends this Wednesday 31 January, and it’s worth a goods look because not only does it offer you up to 25% off in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, it can also be stacked with two other benefits to seriously reduce the cost of your stay.
Rebate 1 – up to 25% off
The headline rate of 25% off is being pretty widely applied. Here’s the Hilton Barcelona in February:
While the sale technically applies to weekends, and technically only runs to 11 February, it’s well worth searching for whatever dates you had in mind. Hilton tends to be fairly loose in applying its restrictions to these offers, while the sale is on. Here’s the same Hilton Barcelona at 25% off in April, for example – well after the supposed sale stay period:
Rebate 2 – 2,000 free Honors points
For every stay you make at a Hilton group hotel before 30 April 2018, you’ll get 2,000 free points.
You’ll need to register for this promo, but it’s open to all Hilton Honors (free to join) members.
Rebate 3 – free Avios
Finally, my tip for any Hilton stay is to book it through the Avios eStore.
This does not count as a third party booking, so you’ll get full status benefits and earn points, but you’ll also earn a fantastic 8 Avios per £1 you spend on the Hilton booking.
I use the Avios eStore option frequently:

My Hilton avios estore transactions never seem to track. Pretty sure the missing avios claim people know me by first name by now
Miles Hunt says
Interesting. Mine always track, but it takes an eternity for me to actually receive the Avios.

Just picking up on the Avios e-store and Hilton thing.
From last August to December I stayed at over 20 hilton hotels and booked everyone through the avios e-store.
Not one of the bookings has yielded any Avios points whatsoever and all have been declined.
Apparently if you get upgraded you will not be awarded any Avios. Being a diamond member I have always been upgraded.
