Business Class to Asia – where to credit the flights

If you book KLM Business Class it should be in Booking Class Z, which gives you 125 percent of the flown miles on Air France / KLM Flying Blue. In this case, that’s just over 16,000 Flying Blue miles.

At Delta Skymiles, you earn 150% Medallion Qualification Miles and 125% bonus miles.

I would actually recommend crediting the flights to Alaska Mileage Plan though, which also offers 125% of flown miles, but I value Alaska Miles considerably more than I value Flying Blue or Delta Miles.

KLM World Business Class

For most destinations in China, KLM uses the Boeing 787, which has the latest Business Class product on board. It has a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone configuration installed.

Business Class to China for under 1,000 euros

Otherwise, it’s a mix different configurations, but all have lie-flat seats these days I think.

KLM Business Class Offers

Note that some of the flights are also operated by China Southern, so be careful what you choose. China Southern offers a standard 2-2-2  lie-flat seat, and you can’t credit China Southern flights to Alaska MIleage Plan.

Nice. Going to see panda bears in Chengdu is on my bucket list…

It’s also worth noting that you can’t earn Alaska miles on KLM / Air France flights after 1 May, 2018.
