500 Free Avios!

No… it’s not an underwhelming Advent Calendar giveaway. It’s 500 free Avios for everybody willing to do a minute or two of typing and mouse clicking.

Avios.com – the UK shopping portal (not BA, Iberia Plus, etc.) – has a new partner called Bud. Bud appears to be yet another App that wants to be the central hub of your financial and loyalty portfolio. i.e. Award Wallet, but including UK bank accounts and credit cards. For now, however, only Avios is supported, along with a handful of the largest UK banks.

This service may or may not interest you, but both Bud and I suspect that 500 free Avios might tempt you to sign up and give it a try.

All you need to do is click here and sign up for Bud.

Once you’ve signed up, you can subsequently add your Avios account details and link the two accounts. There is no requirement to add any further banking or credit card account details.

The 500 Avios should arrive within a week to ten days. As always, you can Combine Your Avios to get the 500 Avios into your British Airways Executive Club or Iberia Plus account.

The offer will run until 4 January, 2018 – although it makes sense to sign up now before you forget…

Worked fine up until trying to log into Avios via bud. “Your details have not been recognised. Please try again or update them at avios.com.” (The details are right, I used them in another window to log in directly)

    Nothing ever simple.

I had the same problem, but could never get the website to accept my Avios password even after about 5 retries. The password works if I login directly to avios. Oh well. Another lost customer.

I have a 8 digit Avois account number, but the webpage is asking for a 16 digit number? How to get around that?

It’s unfortunate that people are reporting problems. Mine went through without a hitch, although that was several days before my post went live, as ironically I wanted to test it out first to make sure it was simple and easy.
