I got an email about the Avios eStore Black Friday offers yesterday which I thought was worth a quick mention.

What is the Avios eStore?

Rather like the cashback sites, Avios eStore gives you a rebate (in Avios rather than cash!) for shopping with everyday online retailers if you click through to them from their portal.

As such, if these are retailers you would ordinarily visit, it is a great way of earning Avios on transactions you would have made anyway.

Good deals?

As always, it depends what you’re looking for. One thing that did leap out though was the opportunity to earn 8 Avios per £1 spent with Apple UK.

Given how difficult it can be to get a meaningful discount on Apple products, that’s a pretty good kickback.

Anything else?

Obviously most of the retailers featured will be running their own Black Friday promotions and sales this week too, so there should be some good opportunities to stack them with the Avios eStore Black Friday rates.

It’s always a good idea to check the other Miles/Points eStores (Virgin Shops Away, AAdvantage eshopping, etc) and the cashback sites too, to make sure that a better rebate isn’t available somewhere else, but doing so is particularly important during times like Black Friday (week? month?), when lots of great deals can pop up for short periods of time.

Conclusion

Keep your eyes peeled for some good travel/shopping deals this week – there will be plenty of dross pretending to be good deals, but there’s bound to be a few gems as well! We will be sharing any we find of course, but please feel free to let us know in the comments about any you spot.

The Avios you collect from eligible purchases made via Avios eStore will be added to your account within 35 (thirty five) days.
