Virgin East Coast Trains have a brilliant discount offer running for the next 2 days. They are offering 50% off at least 300,000 Standard & First Class seats for travel in the new year – and you might be able to get 500 bonus Nectar Points too.

How to take advantage:

1. Click ‘Book now’ and follow the Seat Sale information on the landing page, which is live from 10am today (20th November 2017) until 23:59 on 22nd November 2017.
2. Travel is valid between 6 Jan until 2 March 2018, excl. 10 until 18 Feb 2018 (inclusive) as well as 24 and 25 Feb 2018.

I was also targeted for a 500 Nectar Points bonus for booking tickets in the sale too. The terms don’t actually mention anything about it being restricted though, only that you need to, “Add your Nectar card number to your booking during the booking process”, so it’s worth giving a go.  Note that bonus points will only be awarded on the first booking only and will be awarded by 22nd December 2017.

Conclusion

I think Virgin East Coast & Nectar really have worked well over the last year and I will continue to use them a lot.

This is a great deal (particularly with the bonus Nectar Points!) and it is worth planning your trips for the new year now, whether for business or pleasure.
