Swiss International has just released details of an extension of its “Qatar-esque” Business Class sale, offering some superb value on long-haul Business Class departing from the UK, provided that you travel with a companion.

The offer has been extended from the original booking deadline of 3 July to 12 July, and some routes have been reduced with others added. Availability also seems to have improved on the basis of several test bookings.

So what’s available now?

Via its current companion offer, you can fly Swiss International Business Class from the UK (London Heathrow or City, Manchester or Birmingham) to the following destinations at the stated prices (per head, return):

  • Tel Aviv (TLV) at £577
  • Cairo (CAI) at £671
  • Muscat (MCT) at £977
  • Dubai (DXB) at £1028
  • Delhi (DEL) at £1079
  • Mumbai (BOM) at £1128
  • Beijing (PEK) at £1178
  • Shanghai (PVG) at £1178
  • Bangkok (BKK) at a reduced £1230
  • Nairobi (NBO) at £1278
  • Hong Kong (HKG) at a reduced £1280
  • Sao Paolo (GRU) newly added at £1307
  • Rio De Janeiro (GIG) newly added at £1378
  • Singapore (SIN) at £1378
  • Havana (HAV) newly added at £1396
  • Punto Cana (PUJ) newly added at £1396
  • Johannesburg (JNB) at £1398
  • Dar es Salaam (DAR) at a reduced £1399

Bargains galore

There are some genuinely superb fares there, with the India, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore fares probably being the stand-outs. That said, Tel Aviv return for under £600 is also a very good deal.

Availability is currently excellent, but you may need to be quick. I fully appreciate in some cases you may need to find a companion, too.

Timings

To benefit, you need to book by 12 July 2017 for travel between 1 July 2017 and 31 March 2018.

Bear in mind the obvious advantage of these fares are that they depart from London, so no repositioning is required to get the serious value as is often the case with the Qatar (or other) mega-deals on long-haul Business Class.

So f**king annoying that you have to buy in pairs.
Need to be able to stop companies discriminating between couples & singletons or at least people who want to travel alone 🙁

Could do with £671 to Cairo.

I appreciate it’s annoying, but I suppose if they didn’t have the “bulk buy” requirement, they wouldn’t be able to offer these discounts. Keep an eye out for our fairly regular Qatar bargains, which can often apply to solo travellers.

I have the opposite problem – I have to travel with so many, that Business Class borders on the impossible (cash too expensive, Avios cost too high even with a 241, availability appalling…). I envy Joe for example, and the wonderful flexibility/peace of mind he has in flying solo/without toddlers 🙂
