Accor has a brilliant (if quite specific!) offer on at the moment for Le Club Gold and Platinum members: Stay at the brand new MGallery by Sofitel Victory House Hotel in Leicester Square between 10th-31st August and pay just £98.00.

Naturally (this being Accor) the page linked to above doesn’t seem to work properly and wouldn’t actually let me book the rate, despite having Platinum status! The good news is that if you just head to the standard Accor site, sign into your account and search, the rates generally come up fine – assuming you have Gold or Platinum status.

Didn’t you say Deluxe Suite?

I most certainly did!

I’ve genuinely no idea whether this is an intentional move by Accor or not, but you can book every room category except the very highest ‘Executive Themed Suites’ for the same price:

It’s Accor so the IT is all screwed up, as usual.

Despite the terms stating that the rate is available from 10th August, I can only get it to work between 21st -31st August – you might have more luck if you ring Le Club maybe? If you do ring, quoting the following codes might help:

“The stay must be booked at the SOFMGA rate. If this rate is not available, the member cannot benefit from the offer.

Please specify the reference 50261 in all your communications with AccorHotels call centers or customers care services related to this offer.”

Also, even for the dates that are available, sometimes the website pretends the £98 rate doesn’t exist even though it actually does when you click through.

Bottom line

£98 for a standard room at a brand new 4* hotel in Leicester Square is very good value in the middle of the Summer Holidays, but being able to book a Deluxe Suite for the same price is phenomenal.

The Victory House Hotel only has 86 rooms in total, so if you want to book one, I wouldn’t wait too long!

Reckon there’s any chance of a Platinum upgrade from a Deluxe Suite to an Executive ‘Themed’ Suite? 🙂
