This offer initially ran earlier this month, and it’s just returned. It’s a great deal, but you have to move fast…
While it’s not for everyone, I am a big fan of the Nectar loyalty scheme. Amongst many other things (not least its use as hard cash in Sainsbury’s), points can be earned and spent on Easyjet.
Every 500 Nectar points gets you £2.50 to spend on Easyjet flights (and you also earn 1 Nectar point per £1 cash you spend on Easyjet flights, provided that you book them through the Nectar portal).
You can also earn Nectar points when you spend on eBay. Ordinarily, you earn 1 Nectar point per £1 spend on eBay, but for the upcoming 24 hours (12pm 14 July – 12pm Saturday 15 July), you will earn a whopping 10 Nectar points, which given the value of Nectar points at a pretty much fixed 0.5p, is a solid 5% rebate on your eBay spend.
The additional Avios
If you prefer hard cash to miles and points, don’t forget that you can earn 1% cashback on all your eBay purchases via TopCashback.
Given that cashback earned with TopCashback can be cashed out as Avios at a rate of 1:1.05, that means every pound spent at eBay is a further 1.05 Avios.
If you’re new to TopCashback, sign up through our exclusive link and get 1,050 bonus Avios for spending £10 at any retailer on the site – in addition to any standard cashback you would receive!
If you prefer cash, new sign ups to TopCashback who register via this link will get £10 cash for spending £10 or more at any merchant on the site.
…and the other 1 Avios per £1?
Spend on eBay using your rewards-earning credit card, such as the Amex Gold or the BA Amex and you’ll of course get your Membership Reward point (convertible to 1 Avios) or Avios per £1. If you don’t already have an American Express card, there are several good reasons to do so.
An effective total rebate of 7.05% on your eBay spend is worth thinking about, but be quick – this offer ends at 12pm tomorrow.
