You can currently get free breakfast (and potentially a whole host of other discounts and goodies!) when staying at Accor Hotels’ Mercure or Novotel brands in the UK, thanks to ’12 Treats of Christmas Offer’

The terms are bit vague, but it has been confirmed that you can use the free breakfast vouchers for stays booked with any rate, including the brilliant ‘Happy Mondays’ rates, where Novotel and Mercure Hotels outside London are just £40 (£60 in London).
Despite being a Christmas offer, you can actually use the vouchers between 1st January 2017 – 31st March 2017.
Do note that the short terms that I can find state the offer is for participating hotels only and that blackout dates apply. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a list of participating hotels or blackout dates, so you’re best bet is simply to email the hotel directly with the link to the relevant voucher before your stay, and ask them to honour it.
When you click through the links above you will see that there are a range of other offers available too for discounted food and drinks, but unlike breakfast, they are ‘2-4-1’ style rather than completely free.
Bottom line
‘Happy Mondays’ is my favourite regular UK hotel promotion, and breakfast on top just makes Accor Hotels even better value! Breakfast at Novotel and Mercure Hotels can very easily be £10-15 per person, so if you’re only paying £40.00 anyway it’s a significant saving on top!

Theres’s a list of participating Novotel’s on the last page of the Novotel PDF, but the last page of the Mercure PDF just has the Mercure logo on it. There’s 32 Novotels on the list and according to the Novotel website there’s 33 hotels in the UK, not sure which one isn’t included!
Good offer though, free breakfast and a free cocktail (seems to be the only drinks deal not attached to other spend) on a Happy Monday booking? Bargain!

I took advantage of this Saturday morning at a Novotel. I’d printed out the voucher and handed it in when I checked in the night before. I got the full breakfast spread, no problem!
