Quidco has been offering a pretty healthy ~ 8% cashback for booking IHG (Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn etc) hotels for a while now, which is great because rival TopCashback doesn’t offer anything at the moment.

I was clicking through earlier today and noticed that they have also started offering significantly enhanced cashback rates for specific hotels:

The selection is a little eclectic, but it’s an interesting development nonetheless, and not something I can remember seeing before. 16.5% cashback is fantastic (the highest I have ever seen for any IHG hotels), so if you’re thinking about staying at any of the featured hotels, I would be tempted to book sooner rather than later.

I happened to have a quick stay at the Hotel Indigo VictoriaPlatz in Dusseldorf just a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it – comfortable spacious rooms, a little balcony, excellent staff, and some festive touches like free gluhwein and cookies in the lobby. Dusseldorf is a (slightly surprisingly) great city to visit as well.

Bottom line

8.8% cashback is an excellent rate in itself, and obviously 16.5% is nearly twice as good. I wonder if we will see more of this sort of thing from Quidco in the New Year? – I hope so!
