You can get 50% off IHG hotels in Europe for stays of 2 nights or more using this link.
Book by 15th December for dates between 1st December 2016 – 28th February 2017.
The discounted rate is non-refundable and stays must be booked at least 5 days in advance.
It says ‘Health Service Discount’ – but I don’t work for the NHS….
Don’t worry!
The 50% off IHG hotels offer is through ‘Health Service Discounts’, which anyone can sign up to as a ‘”friend or family” member.
I just signed up myself, filling in the very short form entirely honestly, and was confirmed as a member instantly.
In reality, you’re unlikely to be asked for the Partner Voucher (print one out anyway), and even less likely to also be asked to prove you are a member of Health Service Discounts – but better safe than sorry.
The deals:
There are a lot (full list of participating hotels here), so I’ll just list a few that caught my eye. It’s worth pointing out that the 50% off is derived from the Best Flexible rate and the sale rate is non-refundable, so the real discount will usually be less than 50%, but still very substantial.
Fancy a quick pre-Christmas trip to Paris?
Or to see the Christmas Markets in Berlin?
Perhaps a bit of Algarve sunshine for ~£20 per night is more what you’re after (at what I think is the best-value hotel in Europe)
There are plenty of good options in London for £38-£70:
Etc, etc!
Will I earn IHG Rewards Points?
Probably not. When IHG discounts go above ~ 40% it (usually) seems to stop the Points being triggered somehow.
If you would rather earn Points and pay a little bit more, you can always switch the search to the standard 20-30% discounts instead (note you need to book 21 days in advance to get those rates though).
Bottom line
50% off IHG hotels is a great offer and I like that you can book for dates all the way through to the end of February.
That you probably won’t earn Points is the only negative thing I’ve got to say about this sale really!
