Quick heads-up that you can currently snag 500 Free Lufthansa ‘Miles & More’ Miles just for signing up to receive a monthly email!

I am far from an expert when it comes to Miles & More but I did spot at least a couple of interesting sweetspots on the award chart when I had a quick glance earlier.

In particular, Hawaii to Australia/New Zealand/Oceania for 20,000 Miles in Economy and 35,000 Miles in Business Class one-way stood out as great value, perhaps as part of a Round The World trip. That would be on Air New Zealand so there aren’t any surcharges and, if you can find award space, their Business Class is excellent.

If you’re not averse to buying Miles (check out my post from earlier on why you should consider using TopCashback credit to buy more ‘exotic’ Miles rather than automatically transferring to Avios), the best way I know to rack up Miles & More Miles at a decent price is to purchase magazine subscriptions. You can normally manage 10,000-40,000 Miles at a cost between 1p-1.8p per Mile depending on the precise promotions running at the time.

500 Miles may not be much in itself, but it’s a decent incentive to open a Miles & More account if you don’t already have one. Besides, as Taylor Swift (nearly) sang, “The best Miles in life are free!”.
