We have previously highlighted some well-priced offers from boutique Business Class airline La Compagnie. Another has just begun, and it offers some serious value if you fancy an Autumn trip to New York.
La Compagnie is currently offering return flights to New York in its dedicated Business Class planes for just £700 return, all inclusive, in October and November.
That is a really good price.
La Compagnie has slightly confounded many “industry commentators”, who were fairly certain it wouldn’t last, but after 2.5 years it still appears to be going strong. It flies from London Luton, which is certainly not to everyone’s liking, but frankly your preference here will depend on where you are based (and let’s not forget the hassle or at least expense of getting to any of the main London airports).
Luton may be a pretty miserable airport experience, but you are leaving it on a jet-propelled aeroplane, not holidaying there.
Is La Compagnie any good?
The consensus on La Compagnie is that it’s a solid if unspectacular Business Class product. The planes are dated and without fully flat seats, but the food is excellent.
It was well-reviewed by actress Maggie Gyllenhaal.
You can read their “brochure” here, but for a more objective opinion, InsideFlyer UK contributor MilesFromBlighty has flown with them, and was generally impressed by the experience per his detailed La Compagnie review.
For the loyalty scheme junkies, La Compagnie even has a frequent flyer programme, MyCompagnie. MyCompagnie will earn you points and free flights as follows:
Frankly, if you can snag a Business Class return to New York at £700 with La Compagnie, you can be assured that you’re getting decent value.

Great if you can find any availability..?!

Fair point. At the time of writing there were some available, but they seem to have been snapped up pretty sharpish.
