Some months ago Hyatt issued a Press Release indicating that they are planning a Hyatt Place property close to Heathrow Airport.
Initially scheduled to open in Spring 2016, it joins the newly opened Hyatt Place at Schipol and the planned Hyatt Place Zurich Airport for the Hyatt Place brand in Europe.
The release indicates that it is located in Hayes, but is not more specific about location than that. I am hoping for something that is (a) easy for public transport and (b) reasonably priced.
In terms of recent developments, there have been job ads appearing for various roles at the hotel in the past few weeks, but it is not altogether clear when it will in fact open.
Would be great if we finally have the opportunity for a Hyatt mattress run, or at the very least an affordable way to top up elite qualification with Hyatt. Any news on them launching a UK-based credit card?
I hear that the credit card doesn’t make economic sense. Of course if they buy Starwood that could change.
Hayes and Harlington station would be a decent hotel location. Easy access to west london – and inside zone 6 so you can hop back and forth without the surcharges of using the final stretch of the airport branch line.
Just pay the small premium on the day you arrive/depart to reach LHR in one stop.
Have they accounced which award category this is likely to be in?
Not yet – but once they take bookings we will know.
