Just tried holiday check and apparently it's now German language only - I made a quick attempt at a review of my recent stay at Conrad Algarve using Chrome with Google Translate turned on. Will let you know if it's accepted! There's also a Turkish site called Gezi, which apparently does accept English language reviews and earns Miles&Smiles. I have had a quick look, but can't really see how you link an account to earn.
Just got a response in German to confirm that my review was accepted and is now live - so seems a Google Translate review is good enough! Will keep an eye out for the points.
Gezi used to work something like two years ago, I managed to get 10K mile in on one year (yes, they used to be quite generous) then suddenly the English website was gone and could not manage to work the Turkish version.
I can confirm holidaycheck.de still gives out Miles & More points. I've just earnt 1000 through submitting 10 reviews (maximum per calendar month). So you could feasibly earn 12k miles per year this way. I was only asked for proof of stay for one of them. The miles posted after a week. The hotel reviews do need to be in German. However, you can get round that quite easily using Google Translate. You're not expected to write a huge review either. The web page is broken up into several sections: 'What is the food like?' 'What is the location like?' and you just answer with two or three sentences. Just make sure you add your Miles & More membership number at the bottom. https://www.holidaycheck.de I should point out that, if you are just short of a target, this is a good way of getting some quick miles. I had some orphan miles about to expire and this has helped me save them!
