I think that it's time that we all gave up on this. The last baseball-based travel game I played was far more lucrative, US Airways's Grand Slam promotion, through which I netted about 40,000 (now) AAdvantage miles. Alas, that was 4 years ago.
Yeah, I had a lot of success on other recent spg promo but nothing on this so far. Tried about 8pm each day over the weekend by the way. I'll keep trying but don't have a great deal of expectation now.
I disagree. Got to be in it to win it. 8:45am today, nothing doing. But I will keep on going. It doesn't require any effort (unlike, say, Topcashback's sweet treats competition which I spent far too much time on and got nothing in return).
Ok. Each to their own. If you win, you win big. However, in the amount of time it takes to go through the motions, I can be filtered out of an e-rewards survey, earning a guaranteed few points.
I don't mind not winning but am getting bored of the strike-strike-caught sequence *every* time. At least mix up the manner in which I lose?
Oh, and I got 40p from hunting down hummingbirds on Topcashback's last promo. That's like 40 Avios!!!
At the back end of last year, TCB ran their Sweet Treats competition. I found most of the sweets pretty quickly. In fact I was one sweet short in every category. The competition was only four days old and had three weeks left. I felt sure I was guaranteed to find at least ONE more sweet to finish a category. On day four in particular, all I found was an endless parade of sweets. From day five onwards, and for three weeks, I looked at hundreds of TCB pages every day. All I found were bonus prize draw entries. Not a single sweet. I spoke to other people who were in the same boat. It became pretty clear that once you were one sweet short in every category, your chances of finding any more sweets were close to zero. The admin kept insisting it was random but it clearly wasn't and that put me off taking part in further competitions.
9:05am - nothing. Tomorrow is the last day. You may as well have a go - two more chances, 60 seconds of your time!
OK, final day - nothing for me. There's still the prize draw though, which takes place March 22. Good luck, all!
The first time I played, I thought we were doing the throwy thing and not the hitty thing. After all, it asks how the ball should go. Magnificent waste of time.
