Stupid question maybe, but does anyone find that keeping the Gold card beyond year 1 is worth it? 10k bonus points can be earned upon spending £15K IIRC, but there doesn't seem to much value to justify the 140k pa.

Interested in people's thoughts...

 

No value in keeping the Gold in my opinion - better to cancel asap and keep reapplying every 6 months. On the other hand, I do tend to keep the Plat for a bit for the insurance and Priority Pass, particularly if I've got a heavy travel schedule.

Unfortunately not, but the generous free points alone should be enough to justify the cost along with hotel status and lounge pass if you use them. Can always hit bonus and cancel to get pro rate refund I guess.
