Hey guys - I'm relatively new to this scene. Love the site. I've dived into collecting points via Amex quite hard and we already have the Amex Gold CC for me and my wife, plus the BAPP card (again me and my wife). I've read elsewhere that if you take out a supplementary card on either the Gold or BAPP cards then there are bonuses (2k MR on Gold, 3k Avios on BAPP). Does anyone know if this is still the case pls? I can't see it on the Amex site. And if it is true, if I (eg) took out a supp card on my BAPP card for my wife, would it matter that she already has her own BAPP card? Cheers
99% sure it's still going on! Apply over the phone for it and just confirm that is still the case...i did it 4 months ago and got the bonus points.
Called Amex as Darren0291 suggested. It would seem the offer is ongoing (excellent ). I'll see if the supp card application is approved given the wife already has a BAPP card
Excellent! - I got 5k for adding a supp on my Plat a couple of months ago. I wasn't sure if it was a deliberate bonus or not though, so great to get it confirmed over the phone.
Did you click through an offer to apply or did you have to confirm the bonus and apply over the phone?
For me there was no mention of it at all anywhere on the amex site, nowhere to click to opt in, and I didn't call - the bonus points just popped into my account a few days after adding a supp.
Hi, did they agree to add the offer for you? I was told over online chat that it's only for targeted customers now.
They didn't agree to add an offer no - I just asked if there was a bonus to add a supp. The CS rep said she would check then told me it was. I suppose it might be the case that I was on a target list but there was no sign of this on the app or website for me. Best guess is that it's for everyone. Oh - and I have received the points now so all confirmed
When I called, previously, they said there is no offer, but I applied anyway for the sup, and got the bonus points!
