Norse Atlantic Airways has announced a new direct service between London Gatwick and Bangkok. The route launches on 26th October 2025, with fares advertised as starting at £295 return including taxes (you can actually find them marginally cheaper):

Return flights in Premium Economy looks to be about £850, or you could potentially fly Economy outbound and Premium home for ~£520 total.
Flight Schedule
- Initial Service: Two flights per week (Tuesdays and Sundays)
- From 30th November: Increases to four weekly flights
- Outbound: Departs Gatwick 16:00, arrives Bangkok 10:25 (+1)
- Return: Departs Bangkok 12:30, arrives Gatwick 18:30
What’s Included?
Norse has recently improved their basic economy offering:
- Free 10kg carry-on baggage (previously charged extra)
- Complimentary in-flight entertainment
However, you’ll still need to pay for:
- Seat assignments
- Checked baggage
- Meals in Economy
Route Changes
To accommodate this new service, Norse will discontinue their Miami route from 25th October.
Bottom Line
If you can bag one of the £293 returns (availability looks wide open from March 2026 onwards), this new route offers excellent value for Thailand-bound travellers. While you’ll need to factor in extras like meals and baggage, it’s still competitive compared to full-service carriers.
Premium is definitely worth considering too, given the flight length.
Booking is open now for travel from 26th October 2025.
