Hyatt Adds 56 More Hotels – Including Some in the UK

A couple of months I wrote about how Hyatt had effectively tripled the number of ‘World of Hyatt’ participating hotels in the UK overnight, through its partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). That partnership continues to develop, with Hyatt incorporating another 56 SLH properties into World of Hyatt this week – including a couple more here in the UK.

What does the partnership mean for World of Hyatt guests?

As a quick recap, World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn’t stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.

  • Complimentary continental breakfast
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
  • Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
  • One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

By my count, that’s an additional 34 hotels in Europe, which represents another significant boost to Hyatt’s footprint in the region.

Bottom line

I’m reluctant to use the phrase, but the SLH partnership really could be a game changer for Hyatt (particularly in Europe, where it has always required extreme dedication to earn elite status due to the limited number of Hyatt properties).

Has the SLH partnership made you take more notice of World of Hyatt?

Good Luck to Hyatt , If they do what they have achieved at The Martinez in Cannes. What an amazing Transformation from a tied looking property into Beautiful Swan !!
Then Good News all round !!
