All you need to do to claim the discount is add the code 40OFF on the checkout page of the Travelodge website when making a booking.

The discount applies to both saver and flexible rates, and you need to book by the end of Friday (11th January 2019).

Example

Anything else?

If you think standard Travelodge rooms might be a bit too basic for you, don’t forget about the (quite nice looking!) ‘SuperRooms’ available at some properties, which you can book for an extra tenner.

Cashback from TopCashback or Quidco might not track because of the discount code, but there’s no harm in trying.

Conclusion

If you can find eligible hotels/dates that suit you, this is a potentially excellent deal.

It may be a bit of a minority view here at InsideFlyer, but I personally quite like Travelodges –  they obviously aren’t remotely fancy, but can be surprisingly well-located and are generally clean and comfy, if a little basic. For short trips where you just need somewhere to sleep, Travelodge can be tough to beat in terms of value.

Terms

The 40% OFF Friday & Sunday discount offers on selected stays will apply on our saver rate or flexible rate if your booking meets the terms and conditions stated below. After you enter the discount code, and if the booking complies with these terms and conditions, a new discounted value will be displayed on the website before you proceed to pay for the booking.

Booking and Stay

1. The booking must be for a stay at a participating UK Travelodge hotel as listed in section 13 below.
2. The rooms in a participating hotel allocated for this promotion are subject to a limit.  Not all the rooms shown as available on our website travelodge.co.uk are allocated for this promotion.
3.The stay must be within the qualifying stay period, which is from Friday 11 January to Sunday 31 March 2019, excluding selected blackout dates as listed in section 13 below. Consecutive days stay are not available beyond April 4th 2019.
4. The booking must be made on our website https://www.travelodge.co.uk.
5. The stay must be booked and paid between 07th January and 11th January 2019.
6. The stay must be for a minimum of 1 night  and maximum of 7 consecutive nights at the same participating hotel in the same room during a stay. Only one room per booking will be eligible for the promotion. Consecutive days stay are not available beyond April 4th 2019.
7. The 40% discount offer is applicable on Friday & Sunday room rates only.
8. Stay dates are not eligible for a discount if they fall within 24 hours of your booking date.

Limitations on the Discount Code

9. Multiple Room Booking. If your booking contains more than one room, and if any of the rooms in the ”Basket Summary” (as shown next to the “Discount Code” box) does not qualify for this promotion, the Discount Code will not be valid.  To take advantage of this promotion, you will need to make a separate booking for the room or rooms that qualify for this promotion.

10. Multiple Night Booking.  Similar to section 7, if your booking contains nights that do not qualify for this promotion and nights that qualify, the Discount Code will only be applied to the room night rates that qualify.

Other limitations on this Promotion

11. This Promotion is not valid in the following situations:

A. when used together with any other promotions or discounts (except that a Travelodge e-voucher can be applied together with the voucher code issued for this promotion);
B. pay-on arrival bookings (including all bookings where American Express is the payment method);
C. group bookings (please see  https://www.travelodge.co.uk/about/group-bookings/ to book for groups)
D. Registered Travelodge Business account users or bookings made through https://www.travelodge.co.uk/business
E. on past purchases or any booking that has already been paid for; and
F. any stays at Travelodge hotels in Ireland and Spain.

12. General

In addition to the terms and conditions applicable to this Promotion, all bookings are subject to Travelodge’s standard terms and conditions which can be viewed at https://www.travelodge.co.uk/about/terms-conditions

Should you need to amend your discounted room booking by changing your stay dates or hotel choice to those outside the terms of this Promotion, or amend your booking after the expiry of this Promotion, you may be required to pay the value of your original discount so that you pay the full amount of the booking without discount.

Travelodge’s standard amendment terms for saver and flexible rate room bookings, as applicable, will apply. Should you cancel your flexible rate booking, you will be refunded the price paid, subject to any standard cancellation terms that apply to a flexible rate room booking.  Saver rate bookings are non-refundable.

Rooms are subject to availability at the time of booking.  Travelodge reserves the right to change or cancel this Promotion at any time without notice.

The voucher codes issued for this promotion are not redeemable for cash or any other form of credit and have no value until presented for redemption in accordance with the terms and conditions of this promotion.
