‘Marriott Moments‘ is essentially the same as the ‘SPG Moments’ programme I’ve highlighted a few times in the past. They both offer the opportunity to trade SPG/Marriott Points for experiences that you wouldn’t usually be able to (easily) buy for cash. What I find consistently surprising though, is just how amazing some of the deals can be.

The titles of the various packages routinely undersell what is actually on offer. A ‘Mixology Class’, for example, might also include a stay in a suite at a luxury hotel and other perks – it’s therefore a good idea to click through and check the details of the packages, even when they don’t really sound hugely appealing at first glance.

Within the last couple of weeks, you could have bagged a 2-night stay in a Bosphorus View Suite at the Ritz Carlton Istanbul with breakfast etc, for just 30,000 Marriott Rewards Points!

Standard rooms normally cost 30,000 Points per night, so that’s a heck of a deal, even if you don’t care much for cocktails!

In terms of the current offers that are still available to bid on, here are a few that leapt out to me as being underpriced at the moment:

• See Rag’n’Bone Man Tour from Side Stage + Hotel Stay: From 15,000 Marriott Points
• Private ‘chef’s table’ lunch with 3 Michelin Star chef Clare Smyth for 2 people: Currently 37,500 Marriott Points
• Royal Suite at JW Marriott Dubai + dinner, etc: From 15,000 Marriott Points
• 2-night stay in Amsterdam, dinner and a load of golf-related stuff: 5,000 SPG Starpoints/15,000 Marriott Points (ends this morning!!)

If you’re still not convinced, one lucky person recently grabbed 2 roundtrip Business Class Emirates tickets, plus 5 nights in an Executive Suite at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London for 360,000 Marriott Points!
