Frequent Traveler University is a series of seminars devoted to teaching miles and points enthusiasts the best way to maximise their frequent flyer miles, hotel points and credit card rewards. FTU’s first ever event in the United Kingdom will be taking place at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel on 12-13 May, 2018.

There are still a few places available and the organisers have decided to extend the £100 coupon code UKFTU100! This means that you’ll only pay £149 to attend. Click here to sign up.

As a reminder, you’ll get:

  • Two days of expert-led sessions at the Renaissance LHR
  • Lunch buffet on Saturday‬ and Sunday
  • Saturday dinner at Madhu
  • Catered breaks
  • Coffee and tea all day
  • Internet in the conference rooms

I know that £149 isn’t as cheap as reading a blog or two, nor is a weekend at Heathrow necessarily all that appealing. But perhaps you are tempted by the schedule and precise topics that will be covered. (I am looking forward to some of the hotel sessions and Gilbert’s tips on finding cheap fares) The Q&A sessions and informal networking sessions are also a great way to trade travel hacking strategies – I know that I have a couple of tips to share that I wouldn’t ever publish on the internet…

And thanks to those who have already signed up and plan to attend. Make sure to say hello. I’ll be the cartoon pig… 😉

Absolutely gutted my husband and I aren’t in the country over these dates as we would have loved to attend. Have enjoyed and learnt so much in prior similar meetups we have attended.
    Have a fabulous 2 days

  2. John says

Not sure where best to post this, but if any need / want a ticket for this, shoot me a message
(potential work conflict may keep me from going, was able to get mine at the early bird/promo rate).

      • John says

I am indeed. Is there a way to send me a message on here?

(I think that the transfer would involve FTU needing to void my ticket and create a new one, that can be matched with a photo ID at check-in, and I think their official deadline for that may have passed, but I can certainly check).

        • Mous says

Oh I am very sorry!!! I had no idea this will involve FTU. I leave in Newcastle and I really wanted to attend. However this involve extra travelling /spending to get to London so I was looking for a last minute discounted ticket easily transferable. Thank you for your time and I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

  3. John says

I think Craig was clear that it’s an FTU thing (his post begins with “Frequent Traveller University…” 🙂 )

As far as a discount, tickets like mine were purchased from FTU thru a promotional offer of £100 off of the normal price (which, as you say, would wonderfully offset the cost of travel to London).

As for a transfer, the official FTU deadline for transfers has passed, so it would be a matter of politely inquiring if one might still be possible, optimistically perhaps so, but with the understanding that this event is tomorrow and it may very well not be.
