Bottom line

IHG Accelerate remains my favourite regular hotel promotion. It’s usually possible to find reasonably priced and perfectly decent (if rarely special) IHG hotels in most parts of the world, which means participating is easy. You can frequently earn an average of about 10,000 bonus points per night with Accelerate, if you plan your stays carefully – I value 10,000 IHG Rewards Points at about £40, so that can be a superb rebate, particularly on cheaper stays.
