Low cost carrier Primera Air is currently offering some very attractive fares between London Stansted/Birmingham and Toronto, so if you fancy a trip to Canada this might be the deal for you!

The cheapest fares are from Toronto, starting at just £110, but the outbound from Stansted or Birmingham will set you back a little more at £149. Put it together, and you can book return flights for £259.

Availability at the lowest fares is excellent for most of the current booking window:

These certainly aren’t the lowest ever transatlantic fares we’ve seen, but for the convenience of being able to fly direct (particularly from Birmingham), I’d say £259 is still a very good price.

I’ve not had the chance to fly with Primera yet, but it would be interesting to see how they stack up compared to other low cost long haul operators like Norwegian and WOW.

Conclusion

Transatlantic low cost flying has been one of the big developments in aviation over the last few years. The jury is still out on whether these sort of fares can be sustained on the long term, but for now at least we might as well enjoy them!

Have you flown with Primera? – How did it compare to other low cost carriers?

    Amazing fares!
OT: just noticed in Santander 123 account that you can claim 10% cashback at Hilton, checked TCB and only 5%, might help some, has to be over £60 spend but that’s not an issue usually.

Cheers Adam! – some of the bank rewards/cashback stuff is getting pretty interesting these days.

As its a bank card connected offer I thought they would probably pay out quickly not like some of the stories I keep reading about Hilton on cash back sites at prsesnt, some appear to be waiting nearly a year for payouts.
