TopCashback seems to have sneaked out a fairly significant improvement overnight without any fanfare at all! You can now get 25% more Avios from TopCashback when you transfer your earnings to either Avios.com or British Airways Executive Club.

As you can see, I’ve currently got £15.00 credit but can now transfer that for £18.75 worth of Avios – equivalent to 1,875 Points.

The 25% bonus means that you are essentially using your TopCashback credit to buy Avios for 0.8 pence each. Whether you consider that a good price or not depends on a huge range of factors, but for many people this is a significant improvement – particularly if you just need to top up your Avios a little bit to have enough for an award.

The bonus doesn’t make up for the disappointment caused earlier in the year when Tesco Clubcard ceased to be a transfer partner, but it is certainly a step in the right direction.

More generally, we have long sung the praises of cashback sites TopCashback and Quidco here at InsideFlyerUK, and I really do believe they are an absolutely vital tool when it comes to travelling better for less. In fact, we like them so much they made it into our ‘Top 10 Travel Tips!’

If you do not already have a TopCashback account, sign up using this referral link here and you will get £5.00 bonus cashback after earning your first £10.00 (I also get a small referral payment, so thanks!).

      Unfortunately not directly.

That said, I’m planning on writing a post about why converting from TCB even at 0.8p per Avios might not be the best option anyway if you want Miles – the essential point being that if you are going to buy Miles (which is what you are effectively doing when you transfer TCB to Avios), it can actually make more sense to take the cash and then take advantage of Miles sales from other programmes like SPG, American, United, Alaska etc depending on where you want to travel and in what Class.
