There is currently an offer on Virgin’s new “Virgin Red” app for 3000 Free miles for new Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members.
You need to access this offer via the Virgin Red app on your smartphone/tablet. This link will take you to the relevant app store to download if you haven’t got it already, and then you should see the offer on the Virgin Red app homepage.
As far as I can see, you don’t need to have linked any other Virgin branded accounts to the app to get the offer. It is currently marked as expiring in 5d 7h for me, but the terms say the offer officially ends at 23:59 on 17 September 2016, and miles will be credited within 7 working days of creating your account.
Indeed, when I signed my partner up, the points posted immediately.
Whilst 3000 miles won’t get you far on their own, it’s certainly a great boost for someone just starting out collecting Virgin Atlantic miles, and is the same as the sign up bonus on their free credit card at the moment without the need to spend anything!
Subsequent to the initial publication of this article, it appears that this offer is targeted to people with a Virgin Media account only.

Hi Lee – Sorry I’ve doubled checked this morning and the offer is now showing as “Virgin Media Verified” only – this means you need to link an active Virgin Media account to your Virgin Red app.
You don’t necessarily have to be the bill payer for your household, you just need their permission. For example, my partner has the Virgin Media account and I have used this on my app.
Thats a shame im not on virgin media
I have been pondering all day if signing up for a free pay as you go sim would be sufficient to create a Virgin Media account to link…
Been at work though so haven’t had chance to try!
