travelodge room

I can’t remember ever actually staying at a Travelodge, but oddly enough I just spoke to a family member who happened to be staying at one (Salford Quays) over the weekend, and they were pleasantly surprised. Simple, comfortable rooms with friendly staff and very good value seemed to be their general impression.

Travelodges can be seriously cheap (I’ve seen rates as low as £25.00), so £10.00 off could be a very chunky discount in percentage terms!

How have you managed to never stay in a Travelodge? 🙂 They’re everywhere in the UK and sometimes they’re the only option. I’m guessing you aren’t UK based (Malta?)

I used to stay at them all the time., especially at Heathrow Central and T5 because they only cost £15-£20 a night!

Not received my £20 Earnaway cashback from a June stay yet, hopefully next month!

Joe is away at the moment so can’t respond, but he’s based in Yorkshire so has no excuse.

That said I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a Travelodge – I am a Premier Inn lover though (did I really just admit to that?) who satisfy all my budget travel desires. Indeed I once even wrote about it…

Yep Yorkshire based and currently enjoying a few days away (I’ve got internet, but Berlin’s nightlife is devastatingly effective in preventing me from doing anything more productive than getting more beer!).

We do seem to be quite Malta-heavy on here don’t we? I lived there for a few months years ago and loved it.

Re Travelodge, I fully agree it’s a shameful oversight on my part! I think it’s the lack of a loyalty scheme that has put me off – if I need a cheap stay I’m usually completing my IHG targets etc.
