Avios eStore (Avios.com’s shopping portal) has been sending out emails trying to persuade members of its virtues. Many (but not all) of the emails include a link for 500 free Avios when you make any purchase through the eStore, before 23:59 on Wednesday 22nd June.
The link in the emails say they are for the recipient of the email only, so I won’t include one here.
There are over 1,000 shops on the Avios eStore, so chances are you’ll be able to find something cheap that you need to buy anyway, making the bonus Avios free.
If not, you can always follow the suggestion from regular Forum contributor ‘Litefoot’ and buy a pen from The Works for £1.00 (click and collect, delivery would be an extra £2.95).
According to the Ts&Cs, the bonus Avios should be credited to your account by the 29th July.
Bottom Line
Check your emails – 500 obviously isn’t a huge amount, but free Avios (or even ‘just’ very cheap) are always worth having!
AviosUK on Twitter tell me the Avios will be awarded in 35 days.
For those who don’t have a Works store near them, you could order a cheap rail ticket from Virgin Trains (no booking fee, no delivery required) or Train Genius (£1 booking fee).
Same for National Express.
There are hotel chains on there too.
I havnt received the email as yet, do you guys who have received the email use the estore regularly?
IM trying to work out of this is a promo to get people who have used in the past but not recently to make purchases.
It’s my first purchase with them.
My purchase has tracked in the E-Store overnight. I recommend checking yours has too!
Might be an incentive bonus to get people to use estore then.
I had exactly the same email, but it was an offer of 250 bonus (not 500)…
If you use iTunes then you can earn Avios on buying digital iTunes giftcards, music, apps & books. You can get hen load the credit from your giftcard on to your iTunes account- anything you then buy will be deducted from your credit.
