IHG Rewards Club has just launched their Summer promotion – and it could be a good one!

I say could, because the offers are personalised and some are definitely better than others.

The promotion is simply a new variation of the ‘Accelerate’ offers IHG has been running for some time, and runs from 1st June to 31st August.

I’ve seen quite a few of the different offers, and they seem to range between 36,000-81,400 bonus Points this time. Some are essentially just double Points or 1,000 bonus Points per night (which isn’t anything to get excited about), but others are much more interesting.

Here’s a selection of what I’ve seen so far, but please share your own in the comments too!

 As you can see, the first two offers listed above are a bit rubbish (still better than nothing I suppose!), but the others are quite interesting.

Remember that you can hit multiple targets on the same stay – i.e. in the last offer listed above, if you booked a 2 night weekend stay, through the IHG App, selecting the bonus points rate, at a hotel outside the UK, you would complete or make progress on all six targets!

My own offer is fairly generous and means that I should be able to earn ~50,000 bonus Points for staying 3-4 nights – not bad!

Conclusion

This IHG promotion may not be as “Mattress Run worthy” as some previous offers, but if you have one of the 55,000 offers it’s likely to be the best of the Summer promotions from the major hotel loyalty programmes (with the possible exception of the Accor promotion).

For me personally, my offer will get me 12,000+ bonus Points per night, which is definitely enough to convince me to switch bookings to IHG. If I just had a double Points offer though I would be disappointed.
